The alter-globalist movement represents an important reflection of the contemporary world. It came about in the 1980’s as the result of a process of questioning and protest, which gave birth to the idea that “Another World is Possible”. In this perspective, the internationalization of NGOs expands our horizons and stimulates dialogues , allowing exchange of not only pragmatic and hands-on experiences, but also working methods, discursive and reflective thoughts. By pooling our strengths together, we can intervene effectively on public issues in order to build fair and equitable societies.
By opposing the perverse effects of the neoliberal globalization, the alter-globalist movement aims at promoting human values such as environmental and climate protection, economic justice, labor protection, protection of indigenous cultures and human rights. Because we believe "ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE!"
